One of the few Czech tournaments of its kind, and unrivaled in its size, is the Prague Floorball Cup MINI. It is a tournament for the youngest categories, which is usually held concurrently with the overall PFC event. Every year in Prague, we welcome the smallest categories that compete in 3+1 matches. The exact categories for the following year can be found HERE.

PFC MINI

The tournament was created with the aim that the children should try and experience a tournament of this magnitude, and to further develop their floorball knowledge and skills (that is why we try to provide referees for the tournament every year, who explain and teach the game to the children, rather than "punish" them "). The tournament was not created in order to build rivalry or unreasonable competition among such young children, therefore we ask the coaches, members of the implementation teams and all accompanying persons to be one with us in this.

Vision

Because we understand how complicated the logistics and organization of such young children are, we always try to organize the Prague Floorball Cup MINI tournament in such a way that it is as simple as possible for the teams from all points of view. That is why the tournament is always held within one area - in winter in Hostivař (SCUK hall - https://maps.app.goo.gl/89SjbaLB27SZt6tV8) and SPRING in spring in Kobylisy (TJ Sokol Kobylisy hall - https://maps. app.goo.gl/5Pb84QeL3hyRQSwg7). In the case of a large number of registered teams, we add one playing hall, which is always within walking distance of the main hall.

All the events of the tournament take place in one place so that you don't have to travel anywhere with your children for a long time - not even for food or accommodation. Catering takes place right next to the main hall of the tournament (SCUK Hostivař in winter, TJ Sokol Kobylisy in spring) and the school where the teams are accommodated, if interested, is also nearby (about 15 minutes on foot).

Location

Unlike the PFC for older categories, the tournament takes place over 2 playing days - on Saturday and Sunday. This is so that the children can handle the demanding play program - we believe that 3 play days would be too long.

The playing system is slightly different each time depending on the number of registered teams. In any case, PFC MINI does not include play-offs, but so-called promotion groups. After the basic groups have been played, the teams are re-classified according to their performance into progressive groups. In those, the teams will compete against even more balanced opponents for the overall standings.

An exact overview of the playing system for this year's MINI will be available here about a week before the start of the tournament.

Playing system

Gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded to the best teams in a given category. At the same time, however, participation medals are awarded for each player, because at this age it is necessary to appreciate every well-done performance and support the development of teams in younger categories.
